Seagnat 216 Mod 1 is NATO's "standard" chaff distraction decoy. It is rocket propelled, and makes use of a drogue parachute during payload descent. It incorporates 3 high performance chaff payloads and is compatible with all 130mm launchers. The use of three centre-burst chaff payloads ensures at least two being in the missile beam at all times. The round has a fixed range setting.
The Seagnat 216 Mod 1 has now been superseeded by the CCM216 Mk1 Type 1. For information on the CCM216 Mk1 Type 1 please click here .
