To support its naval expendable decoy range, Chemring Countermeasures has produced a number of practice rounds, including the Cartridge 130mm Seduction Practice (SP), the Cartridge 130mm Distraction Practice (DP) and the Cartridge 130mm Drill. All of these devices are compatible with 'all' 130mm launchers. The Cartridge 130mm SP is designed for launcher test firings and training exercises that do not require chaff. For its part, the Cartridge 130mm DP is also intended for launcher test and non-chaff training exercises, while the Cartridge 130mm Drill is (as its designation suggests) designed for launcher loading drill practice. Here, a number of variants have been developed including seduction, ASW, distraction/dual-mode, IR PIRATE and IR TALOS models.
