Impulse Cartridge PW11 Mk 1
Description
The PW11 Impulse Cartridge is electrically initiated and used for the ejection of countermeasures installed in aircraft countermeasure systems to combat guided missiles and tracking systems
The cartridge can be used as an alternative to the cartridges impulse type M-796, type BBU-35/B used in passive expendable decoy dispensers to give improved reliability, a wider operating temperature range and reduced variablility in ejection velocity.
The cartridge is suitable for use in AN/ALE 40, 45 and 47 series, M130/M147, Terma, MES, Rokar, SAAB Avitronics and Thales systems for example.
The PW11 is a bespoke Impulse Cartridge that is built to a high specification enabling the ejection velocity to be closely controlled. The quality of the alchromate coating gives an extended shelf life over similar products.
