Description
The CIV-IR Decoy is for use in Civilian Aircraft Missile Protection System (CAMPS) to combat heat seeking missiles.
The complete decoy is a modular design and installed in multiple quantities into the BOA dispenser. On ejection of the decoy into the air stream, the sail catches the air and acts as an air brake. This deceleration forces the sealing laminate to peel open and dispense the leaves into the air stream, providing an alternative heat source for a missile.
