Chemring Countermeasures Saving Lives at Sea

Chemring Countermeasures Ltd have recently been selected to supply their CCM 11 Mk 1 Impulse Cartridges as a critical component to be used in deploying Emergency Location Transmitter Beacons (ELTB) to aircraft such as the Sikorsky S-92 used by Her Majesty’s Coastguard.

The manufacturer of the ELTB’s, Caledonian Airborne Systems at Aberdeen Airport, specialise in designing high performance aircraft equipment. The ELTB is only ever used in an emergency and must perform100% of the time, and so, the use of the CCM 11 Mk1 Impulse Cartridge is an ideal choice since it is designed primarily to deploy flares and chaff on military aircraft protecting these platforms during conflict.
