Research and Development

This is where all our ideas begin. There are career opportunities at all levels from Technicians who build and test prototypes in support of product development to PhD level Chemists and Physicists with responsibility for the development of complex pyrotechnic, explosive or other chemical formulations.

The area is divided into Air and Naval countermeasures with additional subsections responsible for Computer Simulation and other special project areas.

Chemists, Mechanical Design Engineers, Mechanical Development Engineers, Draughtsmen and Technicians are all essential roles in this area with opportunities for people at NVQ, HND, Degree, Masters and PhD level.

Research and Development

Manufacturing

This is the largest area of the business, responsible for the production and manufacture of our finished products. The area has a number of disciplines including Production Engineering, Maintenance Operations, Chemical Engineering, Logistics, Machine operating and assembly.

There are career opportunities for all levels of academic qualification from people with a general secondary education through to those educated to degree level.

Sales and Marketing

Key to this area is an understanding of the UK and overseas military markets which make up our customer base. Career opportunities range from Business Managers with a degree in Engineering or a background in defence, marketing experts who deal with exhibition and conference participation as well as marketing and press material. We also employ engineering graduates who liaise between Research and Development and Sales promoting excellent communication with our customers.

We offer career opportunities at all levels in our support areas which cover Health, Safety and Environment, Finance, Quality, Human Resources and Information Technology. These opportunities are open to school leavers, graduates as well as experiences practitioners in these fields.
