Environmental Test

An extensive environmental test facility is maintained within the site, with some special facilities located at Porton Down (mini fuel fire).

The High Post facility is an UKAS accredited Test House and utilise various analysis equipment to verify numerous environmental conditions. The tests include;

  • Temperature / Humidity testing
  • Hot/Cold Soak
  • Salt Spray
  • Low Pressure
  • Rapid Decompression
  • Sealing
  • Vibration (Sine and Random)
  • Shock / Bump
  • Transportation Bounce
  • Drop Test
  • Slow / Fast Cook Off
  • Fluid Contamination
  • Acceleration
  • Dust & Sand

 

Non destructive real time radiography equipment is in regular use and the whole facility is monitored by a range of data capture and recording devices.
